Indonesian Five-star Hotel

What is the chance for an Indonesian to get an office job in Singapore?
Is it true that the government gives quota of foreign employees to the company? Because I thought that Singapore is in short of human resource. Any suggestion how to get a job without using the service of employment agents? I also heard that Singaporean companies prefer Singaporeans or PRs because it is energy-consuming for them to take care of the working permit or visa. FYI: I hold Bachelor’s degree; Hotel Management, been through several trainings at five-star establishments back home and in Europe as well.
I dont think so that Spore gov have quotas for that. Ive applied for so many foreigners who holds a degree here to have their passes and PRs too. What you need to do is to apply for jobs and get short listed first, than the rest is up to the employer to apply for your work pass, as in your case it is known as employment pass rather than work permit which falls in lower income category. Hope it will shed some lights to your queery. or write to me farhan4u2c@yahoo.com.sg. Cheers
